Propeller Basin Marina is in beautiful Anchor Bay on Lake St. Clair. We are located in Chesterfield Township on Jefferson Ave. less than three minutes from the 21 Mile Road exit off I-94. Our facility is at the mouth of Salt River on Timber Creek. Unlike inland marinas, we are a stone’s throw away from the lake. With minimal river traffic to negotiate, you will be cruising on Anchor Bay within a few short minutes after casting off. We are a certified Mercruiser dealer with 20 ton hoists and 7 acres of storage space. Our Mercruiser licensed service staff has over 50 years of experience and is equipped to address any repairs you might encounter.
Our wells are located on Timber Creek at the mouth of the Salt River. Larger wells are all perpendicular to the river with plenty of room to navigate. Smaller wells are in the middle lagoon.
When it comes to winter storage, Propeller Basin understands the value of protecting your investment. For 40 years, we have prided ourselves on our low rates. We will match any written quote, have flexible payment plans, and our shrink wrapping rates have been among the lowest in Anchor Bay since we began offering the service. There are no hidden costs, small print, or garbage/shrink wrap service fees that show up on your contract at larger marinas.
As the season ends and boat pulling begins, boaters can choose outdoor or indoor storage. Our facility has two spacious storage buildings to protect your boat from the elements. Our staff is on site year round and keeps watch over snow build up and cover tears all winter long. We also offer full winterization for engines, generators, and water systems. With over 7 acres of property, our customers enjoy ample space for parking near their boat when spring boat preparation season comes around…no hauling equipment and ladders between a maze of boats

For the boater who is looking for a more relaxing boating atmosphere, where you can get away from the everyday crowds, may we suggest Propeller Basin! Being a smaller marina, we offer a quieter setting while still having the conveniences of a larger facility. Our wells come equipped with 30 amp electrical service and city water. Well prices range from $1600 to $600, depending on size and amenities. Our staff knows all of our customers by name, and we’re always looking after your investment while it’s in our care. From heavy rains when you forget to cover your boat, to a quick test ride to help you sort out your trim issues…we pride ourselves on offering a more personalized atmosphere for all our customers, new and old. Our neighbor, CJ Brown’s bar and grill, is the perfect spot to unwind after a long day on the lake, or a great spot to start the perfect night. We can accommodate boats from the 15 footer you take out for Sunday fishing, to the 45 footer you spend your weekends on. Stop in this spring and ask for a tour.

Our staff has been shrink wrapping for close to 20 years and our rates have been among the lowest in the area. 2x4 posts are used instead of flimsy cardboard rolls that wilt at the first sign of moisture. We maintain our jobs throughout the winter, watching for snow build up and tears, and do not charge shrink wrap waste or removal fees that you’ll see at larger marinas.

Propeller Basin Marina is located on Jefferson Avenue between Sugarbush and Cotton Road, and less than five minutes from the 21 Mile Road exit of I-94. From the lake, we are on the Salt River in Anchor Bay at the following GPS coordinates:

The Marina yard is open 24/7 during the summer season. The gate will be locked and the Marina yard closed throughout the non-daylight hours of the winter season.
Contractors must check in with the Marina office. They are therefore admitted access to the Marina yard only during the hours that the Marina office is open unless they have arranged for advance authorization.
